Welcome
The ministry of the Lyme Congregational Church dates from 1771. The sermon, music, prayer and creativity emphasized. The ministry has grown in several ways including fellowship events and educational programs for all ages. The social mission also continues to grow from a historically strong foundation.
Church membership comes from a wide variety of faith backgrounds. The membership is diverse in theological orientation and in various gifts individual members bring to their participation in the church life. We are an Open And Affirming congregation.
Worship takes place at 10:30 AM Sunday morning. The summer worship hour for the months of July and August is 9:30 AM. Attendance averages approximatley 75 worshippers per service. The service is typically enriched by one of a combination of adult and/or children's choirs, a junior/senior bell choir and guest musicians who are often drawn from within the congregation .
We have a pre-school through high school youth program under the direction of a part-time youth coordinator. Vacation Bible school is held during the summer and is open to all children.
